This past November, OCP2, SFWN, Youth M.O.V.E. and Federation of Families Broward were selected to present at the 27th Annual National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. The conference ended with an award ceremony where Adam Nooe, SFWN Wellness Coach and Youth MOVE Broward President, was recognized for his advocacy efforts on behalf of Broward County youth.
The “Help me. Don’t judge me. Using new technologies to promote Cultural Competency” youth and family driven workshop demonstrated through video skits the importance of delivering culturally appropriate behavioral services.
At the same time, OCP2 partnered with our TIP Trainer from Stars Behavioral Health Group on “Implementing Transition Services for Youth with a Peer Support Approach” discussing how the TIP and recovery service models have been successfully implemented in a Peer-Run Organization (SFWN) .
